I bought this shirt as a joke. I did not expect it to become a load-bearing pillar of my household.
Day one, I wear it to pick my kids up from school. My 8 year old looks at me like I'm a celebrity. "Dad, is that a TRAIN on your shirt?" Yes son. Yes it is. I am cool now. We had a catch that night for the first time in 6 months. He asked me questions about my job. Unprecedented.
Day three, my wife walks by, does a double take, and says "is that new?" in a tone I haven't heard since our honeymoon. Reader, I will not go into further detail, but let's just say the Pate State crest is apparently a pheromone at this point. 10/10 would recommend to any husband trying to close the gap.
The fabric itself is fine I guess, soft, holds up in the wash, doesn't shrink. But that's not why we're here. We're here because this shirt has single-handedly repaired two separate relationships in my home in under a week. Josh Pate needs to stop talking about quarterback rooms and start talking about how he saved my marriage.
Only complaint: doesn't come with the confidence boost built in for free, you still have to wear it correctly (chin up, chest out, mild swagger).
Anyway. Great shirt. 5 stars. Buy two in case one becomes a family heirloom.
